Far East of Eden Zero is a 1995 Super Famicom RPG developed by Red Entertainment and published by Hudson Soft. As the first turn-based entry in the Far East of Eden series and a prequel to the original, it was directed by Kazuhiko Naka—best known later for creating Sonic the Hedgehog at Sega.
The game features a distinctive Day/Night system that shifts story progression and determines which party members join you. It also introduces the fan-favorite Fire Sister characters, who reappeared in later entries. The soundtrack blends traditional Japanese instruments with rock, courtesy of composers including Eikichi Yazawa.
Play as Kabuki Damashi, a young kabuki dancer on a quest to stop the resurrection of an evil entity across a world steeped in Edo-period Japanese folklore. The game offers extensive length, multiple endings, and a deep Puppet Master class system that allows for highly customized character development.
