Super Pac-Man
📖 介紹
Super Pac-Man (1982) is the groundbreaking sequel where Pac-Man grows giant to smash through maze walls, collect keys, and unlock bonus fruit in 24 new mazes.
Released in 1982 by Namco, Super Pac-Man was the first major sequel to the legendary Pac-Man arcade game. It expanded the formula with bold new mechanics that gave players a fresh sense of power and exploration within the classic maze format.
The game introduces the Super mechanic: eating Super Dots temporarily grows Pac-Man to giant size, allowing him to smash through maze walls for 10 seconds. Players must collect keys to unlock doors leading to bonus fruit rooms. The 24 new mazes feature redesigned layouts and unique ghost behaviors that differ from the original.
Pac-Man returns as the sole playable character, navigating his expanded world while pursued by Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde. The fruit bonus system makes its first appearance here, rewarding players with extra points for finding hidden rewards behind unlocked doors.
Super Pac-Man established several series staples, most notably the bonus fruit mechanic that would appear in nearly every Pac-Man title thereafter. Its wall-smashing gameplay and larger maze designs influenced the direction of future arcade sequels and remain a highlight of Namco's golden age of gaming.
