Earthworm Jim 2
📖 介紹
Wacky run-and-gun sequel on SNES! Earthworm Jim battles new foes through bizarre levels with new weapons, hidden mini-games, and over 2,000 frames of animation.
Developed by Shiny Entertainment and published by Playmates Interactive in 1995, Earthworm Jim 2 on SNES is the sequel to the cult-classic run-and-gun. It doubles down on the original's cartoonish violence and weird humor, making it a standout in the 16-bit library.
Players guide Jim through 10 surreal stages, including 'Puppy Love' with its reverse-gravity twists and 'Lorenzen's Soil,' a bizarre trip inside Jim's own body. New weapons like the homing Plasma Blaster and the Snot Shot expand the arsenal, while warp zones hide mini-games and secret levels.
The game's 'Jim Possessions' mechanic changes gameplay on the fly by putting Jim inside other creatures and objects, each with unique abilities. Jim faces a roster of absurd enemies as he tries to rescue his beloved Princess What's-Her-Name from the clutches of the villainous Queen Slug-for-a-Butt.
With over 2,000 frames of animation—twice as many as the original—Earthworm Jim 2 was a technical showcase for the SNES. Its blend of absurd humor, creative level design, and solid run-and-gun gameplay keeps it a beloved classic among retro gamers.
