Dragon Warrior I & II
📖 介紹
Dragon Warrior I & II on Game Boy Color combines two legendary RPGs into one package, with enhanced graphics, modernized gameplay, and the full Erdrick storyline.
Originally released in 1999, Dragon Warrior I & II is a Game Boy Color remake that marks the first official English localization of Dragon Quest II. This compilation brings both foundational titles to Western audiences with significant visual and gameplay enhancements from their NES predecessors.
The game includes the complete Dragon Quest I campaign, a straightforward adventure lasting 6-10 hours, and the expanded Dragon Quest II, which introduces a party-based system and a larger world to explore over 15-20 hours. It features battery save functionality, replacing the original password systems, and includes quality-of-life improvements like streamlined controls and faster battles.
In Dragon Quest I, players control the lone Hero on a quest to defeat the Dragonlord and save the kingdom of Alefgard. Dragon Quest II expands the narrative, following three descendants of the original Hero as they battle the evil sorcerer Hargon across multiple continents, introducing more complex characters and lore.
This release played a crucial role in introducing many Western gamers to the Dragon Quest series, laying the groundwork for future popularity. Despite launching near the PlayStation era, it sold over 1.3 million copies worldwide, cementing its status as a classic compilation and a gateway to the franchise's roots.
