Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion
📖 介紹
Conclude the N64 Turok trilogy as dual protagonists Joseph and Danielle Fireseed. Battle cosmic horrors with enhanced weapons, psychic powers, and branching endings.
Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion, released in 2000 by Acclaim Studios Austin, brings the N64 trilogy to a dramatic close. It was the first entry to support the N64 Expansion Pak, unlocking precision aiming, dismemberment physics, and richer visual detail that pushed the console to its limits.
The game overhauled series combat with a refined control scheme: use the Z Trigger for aimed shots, the B Button for fire and interactions, and the analog stick for fluid movement. New weapons include the fan-favorite Oblivion Hand cannon, which vaporizes enemies on impact, while the C Buttons let you cycle through an expanded arsenal instantly.
Players choose between Joseph Fireseed, wielding telekinetic powers, and Danielle Fireseed, who boasts enhanced agility and speed. Their dual campaigns intersect across Gothic sci-fi environments, from the crumbling Necropolis city to apocalyptic dimensions. A morality system tracks your choices, leading to multiple endings that reward or punish your actions.
Though shorter than its predecessors, Turok 3 earned a cult following for its ambitious storytelling, atmospheric levels, and polished mechanics. Its blend of tribal soundscapes with eerie synth created an unmatched N64 audio experience, and its design influenced later titles like Metroid Prime and Gears of War.
