Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3
📖 介紹
The final major N64 skateboarding game featuring reverts, spine transfers, all pro skaters, and a legendary punk soundtrack.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 stands as a landmark title — the last major third-party release for the Nintendo 64. Developed by Edge of Reality and published by Activision in 2001, it pushed the aging console to its limits with improved textures, smoother animations, and a refined trick system that kept the series at the forefront of extreme sports gaming.
The N64 version introduced the game-changing revert mechanic, allowing players to transition between grinds and landings for seamless, extended combos. Spine transfers added another layer of trick variety. While it lacked the Create-a-Park mode found on other platforms, the port retained Career Mode, Free Skate, and a full roster of licensed pro skaters.
The game features an all-star lineup of professional skateboarders including Tony Hawk, Bucky Lasek, and Bam Margera. Players can create custom skaters, compete in tournament-style challenges across expanded levels, and unlock hidden content through progressive gameplay.
THPS3's soundtrack remains iconic, featuring tracks from Motörhead, AFI, The Ramones, and other punk and alternative legends. Though audio was compressed for N64, the rebellious energy of the music perfectly captured the spirit of extreme sports gaming. The title is remembered as a fitting farewell to the N64 era and a high point in the Tony Hawk franchise.
