Super Monaco GP
📖 介紹
Race the official Monaco Grand Prix circuit in this 1990 Sega Genesis classic. Manage tires, fuel, and gears across a full championship season.
Super Monaco GP is a Formula One racing game developed and published by Sega for the Genesis in 1990. Bearing the official Monaco Grand Prix license, it brought one of motorsport's most iconic street circuits to 16-bit consoles, standing alongside Sega's arcade original as a defining racing title of the era.
The game offers two modes: World Championship, featuring a full 16-race calendar, and Pole Position for quick single races. Players manage tire wear and fuel consumption while shifting through gears using the A and B buttons, and can activate a turbo boost with the C button for a strategic speed advantage on key stretches of track.
A unique rival system tracks your performance against other drivers throughout the season, creating a sense of competition beyond the clock. The Monaco circuit itself is the star — its tight corners, elevation changes, and iconic landmarks are faithfully recreated with impressive scaling effects that were a technical showcase on Genesis hardware.
Super Monaco GP was praised as one of the most authentic F1 experiences available on home consoles at the time. Its improved mechanics over the arcade version, combined with its technical achievements and licensed realism, cemented it as a standout racing title in the Genesis library and a must-play for retro racing fans.
