📖 介紹
Robo Army is a 1991 SNK Neo Geo beat-em-up where players control massive combat robots in brutal two-player co-op, featuring destructible stages and limb-ripping finishing moves.
Released in 1991 for the Neo Geo MVS, Robo Army is a sci-fi beat-em-up that puts players in control of giant combat robots battling through waves of mechanical enemies. Ahead of its time with fully destructible environments and a unique energy management system, it earned a cult following among arcade enthusiasts.
The game features a dynamic Overheat mechanic that forces players to manage their robot's energy levels during intense combat. Smash through walls, collapse bridges, and wield environmental objects as weapons. Aggressive play builds your special meter, unlocking screen-clearing attacks when it's full.
Set in a dystopian 2030 after a rogue AI seizes control of robot manufacturing plants, players choose from four mechanized warriors—Kaiser, Jetter, Mariner, and Dolphin—each with distinct weapons and fighting styles. Brutal finishing moves let you tear defeated enemies apart limb by limb.
Built on SNK's iconic Neo Geo hardware, Robo Army showcases detailed sprite work and fluid animations that held up well against its peers. Though it was later overshadowed by Metal Slug, it remains a standout cult classic celebrated for its over-the-top violence and standout two-player cooperative gameplay.
