Digimon Adventure 02: D-1 Tamers
📖 介紹
Explore the Digital World as Ryo Akiyama in this WonderSwan RPG. Battle through the D-1 Tournament to stop the corrupt Holy Beasts.
Released in 2000 for the WonderSwan Color, Digimon Adventure 02: D-1 Tamers is the third and final chapter in the Digimon WonderSwan trilogy starring Ryo Akiyama. The game serves as a crucial narrative bridge, explaining Ryo's dimension-hopping journey from the Digimon Adventure 02 universe into the events of Digimon Tamers.
The refined turn-based combat features strategic 3-on-3 battles and a user-friendly Jogress evolution system, where fusing Digimon is key to progression. Players guide Ryo through five increasingly difficult tournament ranks, facing off against iconic characters like Yamato, Taichi, and Wallace in memorable matches.
The story begins when Ryo is mysteriously transported from Ken's room into the Digital World after an online quiz. He enters the D-1 Tournament to identify and stop three of the Four Holy Beasts, Ken Ichijouji's partner's kin, who have succumbed to corruption and threaten both worlds.
The tournament is ultimately revealed to be a training simulation for a climactic showdown with Millenniumon, which sets Ryo on his cross-dimensional path. While originally a Japan-only title, a comprehensive 2021 fan translation patch now makes this important piece of Digimon lore fully accessible to English players, even adding quality-of-life features for solo play.
