Darkwing Duck
📖 介紹
Relive the 1992 PC Engine CD cult classic: a tight action-platformer with creative weapon mechanics, enhanced graphics, and exclusive content.
Developed by Capcom's team behind DuckTales and Mega Man, Darkwing Duck is a 1992 action-platformer for the PC Engine CD, published by Hudson Soft. This version expands the NES original with enhanced graphics, smoother animation via HuCARD format, and exclusive new stages, making it a significant release for the platform.
As Darkwing Duck, you navigate St. Canard with acrobatic jumps and ledge grabs. Your gas gun shoots in eight directions, and you can toggle weapons with Select. Master 'Terror Techniques' like the hanging umbrella attack for tactical boss battles against foes such as Megavolt and Quackerjack, adding depth to gameplay.
The game faithfully adapts Disney's animated series, following Darkwing Duck's battles against villains in the city of St. Canard. The Japanese version, 'Darkwing Duck: When Danger Ducks In,' includes additional cutscenes, a rearranged soundtrack, and altered enemy sprites for cultural appropriateness.
Overshadowed by other Capcom Disney titles, this PC Engine version is prized for its refined gameplay and as one of the few Disney licenses on the platform. Yasuaki Fujita's soundtrack is particularly acclaimed, cementing its status as a retro gem for action-platformer fans.
