Baseball
📖 介紹
One of the original 18 NES launch titles. Enjoy classic arcade baseball with 2-player mode and 6 fictional teams.
Released in 1985 as one of the original 18 launch titles for the Nintendo Entertainment System, Baseball brought the national pastime to home consoles. This historic release established Nintendo's early sports library on the Famicom/NES platform.
The gameplay delivers pure, arcade-style baseball. Control pitchers and batters with simple button commands for pitching, swinging, and fielding. The rules are standard, including 9 innings, strikes, balls, and outs, but the focus is on fast-paced action rather than deep simulation.
Unlike modern sports games, there are no licensed teams or real players. Instead, choose from 6 fictional teams, each with distinct uniform colors. There are no player statistics, season modes, or career options—just straightforward, competitive baseball matches against the CPU or a friend.
Baseball holds a notable place in gaming history. Its Famicom Disk System version in Japan was one of the first baseball games to feature a battery backup save system. As a foundational sports title for the NES, its simple controls and competitive spirit set a template for many games to follow.
